About Me

Hey, I'm Sokka Minima, a filmmaker based in Budapest with a background in visual storytelling, cinematography, and creative direction. My work spans narrative shorts, experimental films, and documentary projects, often blending strong visual aesthetics with emotionally grounded themes. I focus on creating films that are both visually compelling and conceptually sharp—projects that resonate on both an artistic and human level.

I studied Film and Media at university, where I developed a strong foundation in cinematography, editing, and narrative structure. Over the years, I’ve expanded my skill set to include 3D animation (Blender), VFX (After Effects), and sound design—allowing me to craft immersive stories across both traditional and digital platforms. Whether I'm directing on set or shaping a scene in post, my goal is always the same: to build atmosphere, emotion, and meaning through the moving image.

Outside of film, I'm passionate about architecture, travel, and design—interests that constantly feed into my visual approach. Living in Budapest, I’m inspired daily by its layered history and cinematic streetscapes. I’m bilingual in English and German, and often collaborate internationally, bringing a cross-cultural perspective and strong visual sensibility to every project I take on.
