Silent Motion
A 3D animated short about isolation and exploration.

"Silent Motion" is a fully animated short that follows a solitary robot exploring a ruined, post-human world. Designed to be experienced without any dialogue or text, the film relies entirely on atmospheric visuals, dynamic lighting, and immersive sound to communicate narrative and emotion. The robot's gestures and gaze replace speech, while the world itself becomes a character in the story.
The entire project was built in Blender—from modeling and rigging the main character to designing expansive, detailed environments inspired by industrial decay and forgotten cities. Careful attention was paid to lighting direction and camera movement to establish a cinematic tone. Animating the robot involved balancing technical precision with subtle performance, to convey mood through motion and posture alone.
"Silent Motion" was both a storytelling challenge and a technical benchmark for me. It helped deepen my understanding of 3D environments, rendering pipelines, and the expressive power of non-verbal storytelling. More importantly, it taught me how silence, when paired with visual intimacy, can be emotionally profound.
Skills Demonstrated:
Blender (modeling, rigging, animation, rendering)
Visual storytelling in a dialogue-free format
DaVinci Resolve for tone and cinematic color correction
Sound design using ambient textures and foley
